Bioenergetic Testing Explained
The human body is electrical, which allows for modern testing. Medical tests like EKG's for the heart or EEG's for the brain, are a form of energy testing most people recognize. The energy testing done in this office utilizes electricity too. Instead of having probes attached to your skin, contact with brass rods you hold in your hands create a low voltage circuit. Your body's responses (small changes in electrical resistence of skin) are measured. Frequency imbalances are registered much the same way muscle testing works. Each body system has a unique frequency. An imbalance, or drop, in frequency may correspond with a sensitivity to food(s), substances, allergens, pathogens... What disrupts the energy field on the surface of your body also disrupts the cellular metabolism in the body. Bioenergetic testing is a non-invasive, low-stress process, but clients must be able to sit still in a chair for 20 minutes. Very active children do not test well. Individuals who have a pacemaker or are in the first trimester of pregnancy should choose CRA instead of Bioenergetic testing. Your health is very complex, and no one tool can do everything. Although helpful, energetic testing cannot diagnose or treat specific issues. |

Contact Reflex Analysis Explained
The muscle testing exam performed in this office is based on the technique developed by Dr. Richard Versendaal over the past fifty years and is called Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA). This type of testing provides a great deal of information about the energized status of the body and its various organs, glands and systems without having to penetrate the skin or use invasive techniques. The degree of accuracy is remarkable and best seen in the results achieved, and the speed of that achievement.
Using the muscle system as a barometer, this technique analyzes the various meridians and contact points located upon muscle pathways for the integrity of energy flow. When the practitioner touches one of the surface contact reflex points, she/he is monitoring the energy of that specific muscle as a challenge to the muscle integrity. If the strength of that point remains when it is challenged, it may be interpreted that the system of function associated is energized and potent. When a reflex point tests weak or is defeated by the challenge, it is interpreted that there is a loss of energy and adequacy about that system. It should be noted that a weakness can never be equated to a diagnosis of a disease or a condition, so that if the liver tests weak, it could never be said that the liver is sick (e.g. hepatitis, cirrhosis, inflammation, etc.), only that the system is energetically imbalanced.
Weaknesses are interpreted as areas of need, areas wherein the body may require cleansing, strengthening, or balancing. After one to three months of food support, specific for the target system or organ which is identified as weak, the reflex point no longer can be defeated by a challenge test, and usually there is an improvement in the individual’s state of health. There are many ways to strengthen a particular weakness, such as food supplementation to enhance function in the specific area of need, lifestyle modification to unburden the physiology, chiropractic to influence the nervous tone and energy reaching the tissue, acupuncture to remove blockages in the normal flow of energy through the meridian pathways of the body, mind/body therapies to release somatized memory, and others.
Using muscle testing employs upper motor pathways in the nervous system, which are theorized to be weakened when the body is challenged, thus resulting in widespread muscular weakness, identified by any single muscle or group of muscles. Type A muscle fiber contraction requires a significant amount of energy to contract, and this is why any distraction to the system can weaken the muscles.
